Hughes Motorsports and Bobby Measmer Jr. have partnered with The Knorr Group of ALCOVA Mortgage for a busy Modified racing schedule in 2021. The Knorr Group, based in Harrisburg, North Carolina and just a few minutes from the Hughes Motorsports team’s headquarters, will be featured on the No. 14 Modified during the team’s events throughout the season.
“We’re extremely excited to partner with a hometown company that truly is more than just a decal on a racecar,” said Measmer. “Stephen (Knorr) and his family are friends and folks who I have used for my own home mortgage and I have referred a bunch of friends to them as well. Knowing that we’ve got a lot of plans for this season, having the support of a well-known company with local roots like The Knorr Group is huge.”

“I come from a racing family and we’ve gotten into go-kart racing,” said Stephen Knorr of The Knorr Group. “I’ve known of Bobby since we were in high school, but I’ve really gotten to know him from going to the go-kart tracks and watching his son Brody race. Bobby and I got to talking about different ways to help each other out. I told Bobby we’d be interested if there’s a spot on the car for us to help and here we are.

It’s a really cool story of a hometown racer and a hometown company coming together to do something good.”
The Knorr Group of ALCOVA Mortgage will make its debut on the Hughes Motorsports No. 14 Modified during the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing later this month at New Smyrna Speedway in Florida. Hughes Motorsports will also compete in select Modified races on the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, the SMART Modified Tour, and more during the 2021 season.
